Elsa's Road to Recovery
Help us "spur" a quick comeback for our go-to pony.
Elsa has been with SETC for 6 years and has been our “go-to pony” for each of our programs! She is a Haflinger pony, a breed that is known for their unflappable disposition. Her compact and sturdy size is perfect for all levels of riders. She has never let us down in any situation, but she is suffering from a lameness issue that has developed complications. Please help us with her continued care on her journey back to soundness!
Update: Elsa is improving! She is now bearing weight on her injured hind leg and is doing much more walking. Her bossy personality has returned which tells us she is feeling so much better! Our lameness specialist has advised us through some less invasive options and believes she will not have to have surgery. Elsa is still semi-lame at a walk and very lame at the trot, but we will give her as much time as she needs to get better!
